Six and a half years after we invaded Afghanistan to rid the world of the Taliban and bring democracy to the region, we can see recurring proof that we have failed.

The Taliban has regrouped and women are back under the berkas and are threatened with death if they go to school or educate other women.

Opium remains the major source of income for many, and Islamic rule was never replaced with real democracy.
