Sometimes I come into work early and the only coffee shop that’s open (other than McDonald’s, which doesn’t exactly make what I would call coffee) is Starbucks. They’re open at 5:30AM and I’m usually to the office no later than 6AM, so it’s my only good choice for coffee. I also happen to really like Starbucks coffee.

It’s something like 6AM in the morning and I’m in my car, driving home. The windows are down, and the breeze pushes long strands of hair past my face now and again.

We are leaving for a quick visit to Destin, Florida tomorrow morning.  I sold 34 yellow shrimp and shipped them out.  Our neighbors are coming to feed the cat, dog and fish.  My daughter and I made up a dozen or so little envelopes labeled “Thursday” “Friday” “Saturday” , and put the appropriate food in each, for each tank.  That way they won’t over

today will be known more prominently for another tragedy. but i am strolling down memory lane of another tragedy of a different sort. today is the 10 year anniversary of downtown nashville tornado. the sister got me thinking.

We are still looking at 2 waves of showers and storms, one that moves in between 3am and 6am, and another that arrives between midnight and sunrise tomorrow night into Saturday morning. The newest Predictor run shows slightly more rain for our friends in south and east Middle Tennessee from the two combined [...]
