This week’s Tennessee Journal recounts a bit of merriment at the close of this year’s legislative session:

When the House honored members who aren’t seeking reelection, it piped in the Frank Sinatra record My Way and had them say a few words.

A video pops up on YouTube of a wee boy singing "Hey Jude" and the video shows up on the pages of MetaFilter and quick as a wink, listing of cover songs of Beatles music spins out.

It never fails... whenever I get home from a vacation, this song immediately pops into my head the minute I walk in the door. Tonight was no exception.

The 50th Grammy Awards were held in Los Angeles with a lot of nostalgia and sentiment.

The awards opened with Alicia Keys doing a duet with Frank Sinatra, ala Nat and Natalie Cole.

Right after that, the camera flashed to Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono, Olivia Harrision...and no Paul? Paul was nominated for "Memory Almost Full," and, it became known there was going to be a Beatles tribute.
