I am notorious among a few of my friends for not watching very many movies or reading books for pleasure. I am sure I could rack my brain for a few hours and come up with a perfectly plausible explanation for it, but it generally comes down to a short attention span. I never have been much of one for passive media, so sitting in a theater or through a 90 minute movie is tough.

I was listening to Dave Ramsey this afternoon and he fielded a call I’ve heard him take several times in the past–”Should I quite my job (or sell my house, or cash in my savings, or sell my kid, etc.) to go back to school and get a master’s degree?”  I think this is a pretty tough question to deal with.  On one hand, there’s a ton of knowledge to be gained

I don’t really enjoy the beach for the water, the sand, or the sun. I love going to the beach because it’s relaxing, pressure free, and I can read a lot.

It has been Flu Central here at the Osenga house this week. I got off the bus Monday afternoon and, apart from a half day singing bgv’s for the incredible Jon Troast (whose record I played guitar on this past Friday), and a day mixing an EP for a Birmingham artist named Natalie Moon, I’ve been at home trying to be a good dad to some sick girls.
