With many Chinese families having lost their children in the May 12 earthquake, China will bend on their one-child policy, allowing now-childless couples to petition the government to have another child. Ah, the joys of communism.

In a post earlier this week I mentioned the strange case of Karma, Vodka, and Earthquakes.
The good news is Ms. Stone finally sobered up. Good for her.

As I sit here reading the news, I wonder with all the things happening in the world today if the end is near. A major earthquake that has just happened, a cyclone , that has killed about 100,000 people, the fighting going on in the Middle East, and that volcano that has erupted in Chile. [...]

I’m sorta mad that I missed the Earthquake.  What aggravates the pee-waddlin’ outta me is the fact I missed it by about 30 minutes. 

What a day! We start it off with an earthquake around 4:40 am!

It was sunny and very warm along with some windy conditions (28.4 mph sustained) this afternoon....the high temperature ended up at 77.1° (at 3:45 p.m) after a morning low of 46.5° which occurred at 6:34 a.m.

Here is something kind of cool that I found at the USGS website. Click on it for a better view. I count, at least, four different tremors. Our first earthquake post is below this one.

There was a magnitude 5.2 earthquake up the road from us (near Evansville) at 4:36am (CST) this morning!

Being from California, I’d like to think I’m a good judge of knowing an earthquake when I feel it. So, this morning when I woke up to feel slight tremors in my apartment, I felt silly thinking it could possibly be an earthquake. Come to find out St Louis had one this morning at 4:36 and that other Tennesseans felt it.
