There's no polite way to say it...I come from a bunch of white trash rednecks and somehow have never shaken those roots.

A minor altercation today made me really question myself and my behavior.

After work a couple of guys left our Germantown area office and road across the pedestrian bridge to the Shelby Bottoms Greenway on to the new bridge near Two Rivers park and back.

Nashville opened the Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge Saturday
morning.

The 700-foot bridge spans the river from Shelby Bottoms to Two Rivers Parkway, joining pieces of the Stones River and Shelby Bottoms greenways.

Outdoor enthusiasts walked across the bridge with Nashville Mayor Karl Dean to mark the official opening.

The end of summer/beginning of fall is just an incredible time of year in Nashville. I was driving to lunch yesterday with a friend from work and we had the windows of my car down and the world just looked different. Everything was clearer, brighter, yet not so bright that you couldn’t take it all in. So enjoyable. So gorgeous.
