I learned early this morning that an acquaintance of mine and the radio station died over the weekend. Dickie Householder sometimes did color analysis for Cougar football games for us and was always present when we had the Titans Caravan come to town. In fact, I have a picture of Dickie on my cell phone from last year’s Caravan stop in LaFollette.

The argument advanced by some here in Tennessee is that such a vote will "depress turnout". And they're right - it will depress turnout of those who shouldn't be voting in the first place.
