Ah, three-day weekends. This one did not involve many incidents of actually leaving the house (Ian was sick and I was on a full-out Morrowind bender), but it was a welcome respite from reality nonetheless.

This morning around 6:30am I heard a horrible crash just outside my studio in downtown LaFollette at Central Avenue and Indiana Avenue at the turnoff to Highway 25W. I’ve heard that sound before. Usually it’s a fender–bender but today was different.

A semi tractor–trailer hit a car broadside on its driver’s side. I immediately dialed police.

I got a nice apology note today from Joel Ridley owner of the rental unit at Schöne Ansicht for the extracurricular activities that broke out in the wake of a party thrown by his renter. Mr. Ridley explained that the offending guests were not guests at all, but party crashers.

Allright, I guess my little holiday bender is officially over now. Well it was fun while it lasted.
