Cribbing a bit from my buddy Adam, whose staying in our basement this week (and getting better and better at Guitar Hero), here is the prayer that Donald Miller author of Blue Like Jazz prayed at the Democratic National Convention on Monday night.

And here's the text of it:

I’ve posted this song before Feel Good Friday’s inception but it’s just so good that I had to do it again. It’s The Seatbelts playing Tank. The Seatbelts are amazing.

This is Jazz at it’s best from Japan.

I remember seeing him with David Sanborn at Starwood way back when. Hiram Bullock was one of the best I've ever seen.

So good and such a cool showman as well. My dad and I often recall watching Mr. Bullock walk that little barricade in front of the stage like a tightrope while impressively killing on that pretty guitar.

I was totally thinking of complaining today about some Braden-related things. His gums have been bleeding when I brush them, and I’m trying to figure that out. Also, his refusal to use a regular cup has become maddening, and I’ve been trying to help him make the change. These are the type of things I obsess and worry over. You know, on a small scale.
