Last year we made a point to let the wild violets in our yard grow as they would after we found out that the Diana Butterfly lived exclusively on them and nothing else as a caterpillar. I have no idea if that helped or if we just have a good year for Dianas but we have them in abundance. We had three males at one time on the butterfly bushes.

It is not time for the girls to emerge, so for now,

Received the latest Tennessee Crop Summary from the USDA today and crop conditions this year are in great shape. Last year, at this time, we were well into a substantial drought. Taking a look at the Crop Condition, it is fair to say we are in good shape for 2008.

Just for the record the Volunteer State has nine--count-em--nine teams in the NCAA basketball tournament.  There are five men's teams in the tournament and four women's teams.  On the men's side it's University of Tennessee and Memphis (Memphis is a number one seed and UT a number two), Vanderbilt, Austin Peay (go Peay!), and Belmont.  On
