For anyone out there compiling a list of things that former Mayor Bill Purcell did not have to worry about (that Mayor Karl Dean now does), here’s one for the stack. A local twitterer says Dean broke out a dead fish of a handshake recently:

David Weigel was on C-SPAN tonight talking about the Libertarian Party convention, and he brought up something that’s pretty interesting regarding Ron Paul’s donor list.  That’s a pretty valuable list.  It’s very long, and made up of people who are willing to donate money for a political cause–enough money to cause a problem for somebody, most likely John McCain.

Made pancakes today. Decided that, while I consider myself a pretty damn good cook, I should recognize my limitations. I suck at making pancakes. Also decided, I need to break down and get some new pots & pans.

I finally--finally!--made it over to the Veggie Cafe for lunch this week. It's quite a haul from West Nashville to their location in Inglewood, but this all vegetarian/vegan enterprise is something I certainly want to support. Though I almost missed it since I didn't see a sign. But that's not really the point of this post.
