I watched The Cleaner last night and I am less than impressed.  It’s like the writers sat down and were like “What if we took The Shield and Joan of Arcadia and took out the God character and made the main character more conventionally good?”

By Saturday night I’d given up on him.  I love him, but he’s been an addict for years, verbally and physically abusive, his example twisting the meaning of words like “father” and “love” in the mind of his children.  We can only hear “sorry” so many times: Forgiveness is perpetual but belief in the miracle of change is limited.

A sherrif had been charged with rape among other charges. Today’s local paper reports that 2 of the charges were dropped and 2 other charges will be dismissed, as Claiborne County Sheriff David Ray completes a 2-years probation program.

I'll confess it right here and now. I am an addict. My addiction is food. I started eating at a very early age and have continued to eat every day since, often several times a day. I'm hardly alone in my addiction. Everyone I know is an addict too.

Another person methadone has saved from a life of hell, although I would add that three months into the program is barely enough to return to "normal" thought processing.
