My husband was sick at the end of last week with some kind of flu-like bug. I pushed him to get up and run, though, since in my book, if it doesn't affect the legs, dress out and see how far you can go. Poor guy... He would have done better with a more sympathetic wife. Luckily, he does not respond to me in kind.

This morning there was a light dusting on the cars, trees, and grassy areas, creating a pretty backdrop for a quiet jog. Yesterday's rain provided a much-needed day of rest for my legs, fatigued from I-don't-know-what.

What? I've been going the same distance since the fall, with little variation in my route. Compared to last year, I'm running about a mile further. I'm also walking the dog almost every day, thirty-five minutes at a brisk pace. Another routine that was added since l

Sixty-three degrees.

That’s how cold it is in my office when I arrive in the
morning.  It’s currently only thirty
degrees warmer in my office than it is outside. You can’t imagine how cold that is until you’ve tried it a few
times.  I’ve learned to wear a sweater
every day.  I’m sure my cup of coffee
that I bring in with me would have steam coming off of it if I took the cover
off.
