Yummy Concept for Bridal Party Brunch

Just about a week until my family arrives. I was really looking forward to their visit, but now I'm lackadaisical. (And yeah, I spelled it on the first shot)

Made pancakes today. Decided that, while I consider myself a pretty damn good cook, I should recognize my limitations. I suck at making pancakes. Also decided, I need to break down and get some new pots & pans.

Had a good weekend. Cason and Katie had our family over for lunch Saturday. After that, we laid low and watched a couple movies, something we never get the time to do anymore. Saw The Darjeeling Limited tonight, which I loved. Brought me back to India.

Do you remember when your dad was taking care of you?  The pancakes were harder and shinier and more dry-wallier than mom’s.  The crust wasn’t cut off the sandwich. Bedtime came two hours early. We’re making memories like that this weekend. 

One thing you'll find raising teens is that almost overnight, you suddenly become the most idiotic, dorky person to ever walk the face of the planet. It doesn't matter if you won the milion dollar prize in the Pillbury Bake-Off-- Your pancakes suck.

I'm hungry, but too lazy to get up and cook breakfast. What's a girl to do?

I'll sit here and starve for a little while longer then I'll make pancakes. I'm operating on three hours' sleep people!

I find it amusing that when I was with the Other, I had no trouble sleeping.

I can attribute this to a number of factors. Change in sleep schedule, more comfortable bed, being sexually exhausted before I went to bed (oops, sorry, that just slipped out)

A comment from RTO Trainer points out that I had failed to establish a clear line to...waffles, and that, indeed, I had substituted pancakes on Baracky's plate. Mortified, me...

So, here we have the updated photoshop, using the exact same plate of half-eaten waffle[s] (and that bit of gnawed pork) that prompted M. Obama's rudeness.

Last night I went there (perhaps not alone) to watch a couple of bands. I (or we) didn't get there til 11:30 so we only got to see the last two bands.

It's okay though, they made up for it!

I wanted to make pancakes Sunday morning. I had no egg. So I tried to sub out the egg for a half a mashed banana. And then I added blueberries.
