I know we have already had dogwood winter. It was a cold snap, but the beauty of the dogwood blossoms made it more than worthwhile. Then it was cool again when the locust trees were first in full bloom. Now the blackberry bushes are blooming. There should be plenty of blackberries this summer...

Ice had formed on my windows this morning as I drowsily slumped into the front seat of my vehicle. The cold snap overnight had caught me by surprise and without a coat. I had also managed to forget to grab a frozen lunch on my way out the door, but those stairs are even more [...]

I noticed the headline "China battles 'coldest winter in 100 years'" on Yahoo! news, and thought I'd open it up and find the inevitable global warming attribution. But climate change could see more extremes in weather in China, Zheng warned."

Another "it's brutually cold but we're not calling off global warming just yet" story

So much for all the hoopla about a melting Greenland. The Copenhagen Post reports that "a brutal cold snap is raging across the semi-autonomous nation of Greenland."

On Disko Bay in western Greenland, where a number of prominent world leaders have visited in recent years to get a first-hand impression of climate change, temperatures have dropped so drastically that the water has frozen over for the first time in a decade.<
