I am blogging right now from beautiful Center Hill Lake on my family's houseboat.  It is sunny and very warm this morning! 

if you have been around for very long, you know I LOVE THE WEATHER. ever since i saw my first tornado when i was five years old, i became obsessed. i would literally sit for hours and just watch the weather channel. no saturday morning cartoons for me. nope. give me mark mancuso anyday.

Latest July 4th Weather Forecast Here (Cookeville, TN)

I was watching The Weather Channel (MTV for old people. Yes, I'll be eating dinner at 4pm before you know it.) and a young, very animated anchor was gesturing wildly about the possibility of a hurricane somewhere in the Atlantic.

She was sitting at the anchor desk and the background behind her was open, showing the hustle and bustle of the busy news room.

I'm sure that Al Gore (you can't spell "alarmist" without AL) & Co. have a (credible or not . . .

AccuWeather sucks. Like, big time sucks. They’re always wrong, and I know this because they are the weather information widget on my Mac and I consult them a lot. I don’t know why I bother, since they have the worst weather information on the internets.

Severe weather is raking the mid-west tonight as three states are under the gun. As many as 14 tornado warnings were in effect at earlier this evening at 8:45 pm.
