I really want to take this time to thank everyone who participated in, and gave money to, the annual telethon of the Muscular Dystrophy Association yesterday.  The telethon, hosted annually on Labor Day by Jerry Lewis, raised a record amount of money this year.

Most Friday mornings after I'm done with my job responsibilities, I'm able to make it to the Y in time for a spin class. As some of you know, I enjoy spinning and swimming as my two main forms of exercise in my never-ending quest to train for desert.

Following Barack Obama's claim that he will lower sea levels if elected president, I've been waiting for the Obamessiah, or a prophet of the Obamessiah, to claim that he will raise the dead, heal the lame, or some variation thereof if he's elected to high office.

A bail reduction hearing for Paul House was held today in Union County in order for the court to reconsider the amount of bail required for House's release. At the June 6th hearing, bail was set at $500,000, an exorbitant amount for a man in a wheelchair who is not a threat to the public nor a flight risk.

Camps are springing up all over town and there's so many I can't even hit them all in a day! Scary, not to mention how many new faces are on the streets here. This is going to be a very busy summer, I suspect....
