So, the big buzz this week has to do drilling oil off-shore in order to lower our gas prices at home.

Well, that's a sham. It will take 7+ years for that oil to hit the market and, even then, it will be sold on a global market which means that US oil won't really be any cheaper for us than Saudi or Venezuelan oil.

I received a bulk mail flyer from 1st District Congressman David Davis who sought to inform me on the actions I can take to decrease the price of gas and the cost of oil. He wrote about three ways I can "save gas", all of which indicate Rep. Davis thinks I am dumber than a stump, as if I had never ever considered these actions to improve fuel efficiency.

And, whatever you think of US military might, the fact remains that the US is the only nation in the world with the capabilities and resources to go around protecting peaceful disagreement.
