The following troubling report came across the 12South listserv today:

I have a 15 minute walk every day to and from my car to work.

Knock on whatever, but our appliances have resisted their annual summer failures.

There's every possibility that it's due to the fact we've had to replace darn nearly everything, but we'll take what we can get.

However, the latest twist on busted stuff is that we've killed 3 digital cameras since last week.

I have waxed poetic about the way the air smells in Tennessee. How when I cross the border I open my car windows and just take in deep breaths of that sweet nectar.

I love flying, even though I don't get to do it too often.

But, really, do you ever wonder why we put up with the stuff we do in the name of air travel?

There is a plus side to having the temperature at 91, humidity of 52%, and not a breath of air at 8 p.m.
