Carolina did several things I suggested they must in winning the game. They did a decent job of adjusting to Duke’s drive and kick offense, especially in the 1st half, forcing Duke to shot inside the 3pt arch. Nelson was a non factor. In the last five minutes, the defense was sterling — as it has been late in a lot of games this year.

This game is important to non ACC devotes and Duke/Carolina acolytes. The winner of this game will be the #1 seed in the Southern region of the NCAA tournament and will play virtual home games till the elite eight. Jealous?

Just a few comments/questions:
When was the last time UNC had a long range shooter who was consistent AND knew what to do when shots weren’t falling?
When will Stephenson give returns on his potential?

   Seems like some fancy smancy high browed Ivy Leaguers have finished a research project that concludes white NBA referees are more likely to call fouls on black players than white players.

    I know this is going to sound so 80s but I am going to say it anyways, “DUH!”
