You know, maybe there’s just something about political debates that makes you remember the little things that don’t even matter in the bigger policy discussions.  Maybe they’re the things that point to character, personality, drive, sincerity.  Maybe that’s why we remember them.

Well, I fell asleep on the couch last night at the halfway point in the Great Debate. The half that I saw did not impress me for either candidate, but impressed me less for the debate format itself. I credit Jim Lehrer for trying to get the two candidates to mix it up some, but the format of the debate does not lend itself to what Lehrer was trying to get them to do. Why?
