It opens with clashing cymbals and some thundering beats of a timpani followed by a few bars of trumpet fanfare that make us, in some weird Pavlovian manner, turn into fans of sports we completely forgot existed for the previous three years and fifty weeks. We hear those trumpets and something makes the room go silent so we can catch up with how the Norwegian handball team is doing.

Several weeks ago, I blogged about how much trouble I was having with Leo’s crate training. When put in his crate, the pup barked and whined and fussed and scratched. Basically, I dreaded anything to do with Leo and the crate.

Leo the puppy is a great little (heh) guy. I am so glad Katie and I decided to get him, and I think he’s going to be especially nice when he gets big enough to hang out in the house and go on trips with us.

Two weeks

In an hour I will be taking Leo the pup to get his last puppy shots. Then we’ll have two weeks for them to sink in, and he’ll no longer be on puppy probation.

We’ve had the worst trouble keeping our dogs in our newly fenced in back yard. Obviously I’m talking about the two little dogs, not the soon-to-be-huge Leo pup. Katie had trouble at her old house - complete with chain link fence.
