Yesterday, I watched my new most-favorite-athlete-in-the-world hang with the big boys as he mashed his way up Alp d'Huez, the most legendary of the Tour de France's many climbs. Overcome with emotion and anxiety, I said, out loud, "Come on, David!"

My buddy JB emailed me this afternoon asking me how I’ve resisted posting about “The Cobra” Riccardo Ricco for 10 stages of this year’s Tour de France. Since he’s prompted me, I’ll go ahead and issue my bold predictions for this year’s final podium finishes in Paris.

I stopped caring about the Tour de France after Lance Armstrong retired and then the French stole Floyd Landis' victory, but at least Google is making it interesting this year via their Google Maps street-view look at the race route.
