I just saw the movie “Into the Wild” with my friend Lisa. I was quite impressed and very moved. As an wonderful cinematic journey, an epic story, and a soundtrack composed by Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam fame (not to mention what I think was a fairly decent acting job by several of the characters).

And again I didn’t get one (OK, so I’m not trying) but this site did. It is a skull-a-day blog. Yes he posts a skull of some sort each and every day and he’s doing it for a whole year. He has made some out of fur, and toys and gets submissions from everywhere.

In 1993, at the record store, my coworkers and I fell in love with the music of a local blues singer by the name of Celinda Pink. A year or so went by and her career never really took off the way we felt she deserved. There was talk of too much drinking on her part, but I don't know if we ever really knew for sure why the big local buzz about her didn't seem to go beyond just buzz.
