This AP headline says all you need to know about where John McCain and Barack Obama stand when it comes to protecting your Second Amendment rights: McCain backs gun decision, Obama straddles issue.

I was channel surfing and landed on 'Larry King Live,' last night, a show I rarely watch because Larry is the WORST interviewer currently on cable or regular television who never does research.

Anyhow, there's Luke Russert, son of the recently departed news icon Tim Russet, on a panel of pundits talking about the Presidential election.

WHY?

Sean Braisted takes issue with Clint Brewer on the strides Barack Obama can make in Tennessee by merely showing up in the state:

Hyperbole. Over and over and over. Why did Russert have to die at the beginning of the weekend when news is slow?
Can we be far from St. Tim of Buffalo?

Tim Russert, host of NBC’s “Meet the Press,” has died of a heart attack. I always enjoyed Russert; he was a tough interviewer, but he was equally tough on everyone. He will be missed.

Former vice president Al Gore says Tim Russert was “a great journalist, interviewer and author.”

Gore, a former reporter, said Russert was an original.
