Something important just occurred to me. One of McCain's surrogates claimed this morning that McCain helped invent the BlackBerry. But as we all know, BlackBerries are now produced by Research In Motion, a Canadian company owned by a guy named Jim Balsillie.

So now we can add words like "brazen" to help describe the fallen financial entrepreneur "Boots" Del Biaggio, whose precipitous plummet into bankruptcy has launched multiple lawsuits and investigations, and caused many outsiders to question the stability of the Nashville Predators ownership group.

Troubled co-owner Boots Del Biaggio attempted to sell his stake in the Preds to Canadian billionaire Jim Balsillie as recently as two weeks ago, according to Canada’s National Post.

What is bad news for the Predators in the short term may be good news over the long haul. Like many local hockey fans, I haven’t been pleased to see coverage about the Preds’ ownership situation following a series of lawsuits filed against team minority owner Boots Del Biaggio.
