old stuff

So, we cleaned this weekend.

It seems like I buy stuff in bunches, especially computer stuff. And I’m always looking for bargains, especially when I’m upgrading my old stuff. I may be a nerd, but I’m frugal–i.e. you won’t see me talking on an iPhone anytime soon. Here’s a quick rundown of the things I’ve purchased most recently…

The sad thing is, this isn’t really hip hop, and that’s at least one side of the point of this clip. As the “rapper” states at the beginning of the song, there’s no way to go platinum doing songs with hooks and concepts.

A lot of times when the wife and I are conversing about pretty much anything I always find a way to make us both feel old. For example, we will be listening to the radio and a great song from say, I don’t know, The Outfield comes on and I will be like:

If you read this blog, talk to people who read this blog or hang out in my bedroom or living room around 3am you know I’ve been intensely grieving the loss of my dog. I’m better than I was say, oh, two weeks ago, but I still have my moments.

We’re heading back to Texas with more stuff - a lot more stuff - than we came here with.  Thank God I married well.  The woman has skillz.

My new job requires me to access different parts of our building that in 4 previous years I never had reason to venture into. I am now the guy who brings the mail to the mail room. There is a large photograph on the wall in that distant hallway that always makes me stop and stare at it.
