Earlier shooting raises concerns

Metro officials have added security for some football games this season after a shooting in McGavock's parking lot during a basketball game last season.

Seven weeks ago, I went with my son's fourth-grade class to the 4-H center in Columbia for an overnight stay. It was a good time there. I'd do it again. Several parents went along. That evening, four of us dads got up a basketball game. I was reluctant. I was just getting over an upper respiratory infection and didn't want to get hot and start coughing, but what the heck.

As it turns out, I'm not the only one in my marriage who feels the evil sting of jealousy from time to time.

I took Busy Girl to practice driving yesterday.

Yes, yes, I know she's only 13, I was there when she was born.

I may have gotten on my driving soapbox here before, I don't remember, so excuse me if I'm repeating myself.

The Tennessee/Arkansas basketball game in the SEC Tournament in Atlanta has been moved from the Georgia Dome to the campus of Georgia Tech due to the tornado that hit downtown Atlanta last night.
