A medical doctor cites an experience at Vanderbilt University Hospital as one of the reasons why she will be voting for Barack Obama on November 4th:

Unemployment, losing our dream house, homelessness, bed rest and birth of our fifth baby and death in the family. We have been through it all in the past 9 months. Remember when I bragged about how being so happy that our lives were all settled and happy? Darn me and my bragging! Pride goes before a fall, remember?

Why didn’t I hear about this show, oh, say about 9 months ago?

Keeping Baby Jack this evening. He is growing fast, now 9 months old. He is a good boy, trying to find his way around crawling. Blogging has slowed down. I am doing research on the Santiago de Compostelo, the pilgrimage road in Spain where the Apostle James is buried. Wondering what spiritual lessons I can learn.

We are less than a month away from the summer solstice, and there has been no news on any state plan to provide new security measures for Bicentennial Mall in the wake of a rape there last fall. So, I penned another letter this morning to State Senator Thelma Harper, who originally assured me that changes were coming last November and who told WSMV that changes were coming this Spring.

I really wanted to sit down yesterday and write about Sen. Kennedy, and the news coverage of his brain tumor, I had a ton of work to catch up on. But, at the same time, while I was listening to the news shows, and waiting has given me some time to put my thoughts together.
