nashville weather

After a bit of a break today, we're staring at highs in the lower and mid 90's for the next couple of days here on the Highland Rim in eastern Middle Tennessee. Of course, areas to our west will be even hotter. That being said, we do have a break in the heat coming!

Based on the behavior of my dog this morning, I say that it’s going to be a rocky day here in Nashville weather-wise.  There’s not a rain drop falling nor a distant peel of thunder and the dog is already panting and hiding in the tub.

I should be sleeping.

Isn’t that what normal people are doing at this hour?

The kids’ school inexplicably closed this morning, but now I think it’s a good thing. The driveway here on Mount Crumpet is covered.

Temperatures this morning on the Plateau are in the upper 20's to start. We won't get any warmer than that for the rest of the day as a cold front will push through later this morning. That will drop our temperatures throughout the day. This front has already come through sections of West TN...for instance, Paris, TN is now 22° with a wind chill in the single digits.

I apologize for my unannounced absence. Life has been a little up-side- down in these first weeks of 2008. Big changes happening on all fronts...but they are all changes for the better, and I am feeling so much more like myself than I have in a long time.
