I took a bike ride around the lake out at Long Hunter State Park today. There is nothing quite like the solitude of nature to bring my mind back into a place of peace and tranquility…right where it needs to be.

Enjoying some solitude this morning, listening to opera on the television and reading blogs, I perked up to hear the line, "Anything you can do, I can do better." Before today, I only knew that song from a Gatorade commercial featuring Michael Jordan and Mia Hamm in 1997.

I've heard people (including me) say they heard form God/see God in creation. Others, like monks, hear from God in solitude. Many in reading the Bible or in prayer.

I think God speaks to me through my Ipod.

Not as in track 427 is the audible voice of God.

Mother’s Day weekend began with Miss C insisting I open her present after school on Friday. I told her I should probably wait until Sunday but she was adamant. She had made a lovely plate at school with a colorful drawing of a beautiful sun. I’d show you a picture of it, but then I’d have to hunt you down and kill you as it has her real name and school name on it.
