Wednesdays at SXSW is when most music folks get here. Everyone's excited, wandering around overwhelmed with the possibility of 1,500 bands. Already, you start listening for the buzzwords. Last year it was Amy Winehouse; this year, still TBD. (Although we do keep hearing people discuss the Rachael Ray day party with amused disbelief.

I'll move on from the City of Franklin's taxpayer-supported animal husbandry program and say this about the first round of interviews for the 3rd Ward:

D-Mac was correct in needing to know whether a prospective candidate likes to talk a lot. I will not say which candidate that was, but it was frighteningly obvious when you stumble over the buzzwords and buzzphrases you spent your career memorizing.
