My pal CeeElCee brings up a good point about all the flood of e-mail marketing preceding Father’s Day (and for that matter, Mother’s Day, for the same reasons) that I’ve been thinking about myself in recent weeks, and have in the past.

I get that LaVergne doesn’t allow parking on the street so that emergency vehicles can get through to fight fires, help at crime scenes or accidents, to rescue kitties from trees.  They have to be able to access all areas of the city to keep us all safe.  Not only do I “get” it, but I appreciate it.

If you’re as geeky as I am you are probably sick of Facebook. No offense to the lovely people behind the social networking Mecca. It’s just that I do most of my socializing on Twitter these days.

Birthdays galore today for two of my favorite girls…

One…my little niece, Mattie, turned 3 today.
