It's getting to be that time of the year and two things have more than likely occurred:

1.) Your budget for schoolroom decorations has not gone as far as it should have and the stuff you bought earlier to hang on the walls and bulletin boards seems a little skimpy.

2.) You now know which kids in your class can draw or paint fairly well.

What a find! While rummaging thru stuff, this just popped up. It is pristine - except for the “fold-in.” (If I have to explain, you probably don’t care.)

Tough.

Good lord, people.

Dear Senator Kilby,

I am outraged to learn of your efforts to make it a crime for me to own my dog.  I’ve had her now for seven years and in that time, she’s bitten no one, attacked no one, and hardly ever even managed to annoy the cats.  She’s up-to-date on her shots and, though she often barks at red lights–which I take to mean she’d like me to run them–she’s shown no other propensity for law-breaking.

A fine bit of satire of the presidential race was delivered via young Ralph Wiggum on this week's episode of The Simpsons.

When I was writing my earlier post about Tony Bourdain’s old show “A Cook’s Tour” being re-run by Food Network, I wondered what Bourdain might think about the situation.

I need wonder no longer:
