open thread

Championship teams win games when they don't have their best stuff.  That is exactly what the Titans did today.  This was a really ugly game, but the Titans hung in there and got the last laugh.  I love it that we were able to do that against the Ravens.  

Open thread!  What’s on your mind these days?  Tired of politics?  Hurricanes?  Here are a couple of other things to consider.  

It pleases me that it was in Fresno, Calif. and not here.

Thanks to everyone who participated in teh open thread for the Titans 17-10 win over the Jags.  I am pretty sure 27 participants is a career high for this blog.  Hopefully that number will continue to grow as the season goes progresses.

Tonight there is real life football taking place on the field.  Even though it is a preseason game, it is our first chance we get to see the 2008 Titans take the field.  The first preseason game can get a little boring in the 4th quarter, but there are plenty of things that we can watch for early in the game:

It is going to take me a few minutes to gather myself to put together a post on Chris Johnson.  I am pretty much in shock with that pick.  He does help the Titans in the running game, and in theory he is the perfect compliment to LenDale White.  He is the only player on the Titans who has the chance to take it to the house every time he touches the ball.
