Fred Thompson was great last night.  He’s put some weight back on, he looked great, he looked rested, he sounded great, and his speech was a clear contrast from the Democrat Convention I watched last week.

Well, overall, I’d say a very good night. Even Kerry didn’t suck. Of course I was disappointed not to see Richardson (who I still hope to soon call “Secretary of State”), but it looks like they moved him to tomorrow, so it’s all good.

Hubs and I were chatting a few days ago, when he casually stopped talking, grabbed something from Bruiser's hands, then turned back to finish the conversation.

He was holding an enormous butcher knife.

Breaking on CNN: John Edwards is endorsing Obama. And he's saying some really nice things about Hillary Clinton as he does so:

She cares about our men and women who are putting their lives on the line in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Nice interview at the Ticker this morning with John and Elizabeth Edwards. I thought it was interesting but they say a lot without saying anything.
