Today is my 2-year blogiversary!

I like the concept expressed in an old science fiction story about professional arbitrators whose motto is, “May truth triumph over victory!” To truly win, the truth must be the most important factor for all parties. Once a party puts winning the argument above the truth, they lose.

The Coyote Chronicles blogger is taken aback by the naivety of progressive bloggers who were surprised by Barack Obama’s shift to the center:

Man.  I had some surreal conversations over the weekend. I’m so ready for a vacation I’d happily spend a week in an Alabama Days Inn just to get away…but I had to get this out before I leave. (thanks by the way, to those of you that offered to house sit while I’m gone)

I have some very exciting news.

My good friend John Edwards is endorsing our campaign and joining our movement for change.

Over on my “People Page” at Hammock.com, I’ve posted an Earth Day message that says, basically, enough already with arguing over who’s green and who’s not. We live in complicated times with complicated problems.

After some weeks of rumours and speculation, it seems that libertarian author and activist Mary J. Ruwart is officially in the running for the LP presidential nod.

Great introduction by Sen. Tom Coburn. There’s no better person to introduce John McCain than the most conservative member of the US Senate. He did get some unintentional applause when he said he disagreed with McCain at times, but he was good at pointing out the virtues of McCain and also fairly effective in neutralizing some of McCain’s problems (CFR, immigration).

R. Neal yesterday told a sad story about his wife watching a woman discuss her prescription drug prices with her pharmacist so as to eliminate those she needed least because she couldn’t afford them.

Is a former congressman guilty of providing aid and comfort to the enemy? The AP reports:

A former congressman and delegate to the United Nations was indicted Wednesday as part of a terrorist fundraising ring that allegedly sent more than $130,000 to an al-Qaida and Taliban supporter who has threatened U.S. and international troops in Afghanistan.
