It boggles my mind to think there are are those in our community who prey on the weakest, most vulnerable people in our population. I cannot for the life of me understand why violent crime is not punished more severely, with long prison terms and intense parole conditions/restrictions attached to the perpetrator..

One man was killed in a motorcycle accident in the Antioch area overnight.
Police said 32-year-old Shawn Lee Patrick and his brother-in-law, 36-year-old Ronald Mealer, were traveling eastbound on Franklin Limestone Road when Patrick he failed to negotiate a sharp curve and struck a tree at about 1 a.m. Tuesday.

So I stumbled across myself on ratemyprofessors.com, which could have been a devastatingly bad occurrence, given my lack of confidence in my teaching ability lately. I had two reviews from two students from back when I taught at a little college in Alabama, neither of whose identities I could discern. One apparently found me hot. Both left favorable reviews, and one left a comment:
