That is the question we are all asking ourselved tonight as temperatures have dropped through the 60's, through the 50's and now stand at 50.6°......combine that with a north wind that has been persistent around 15 mph this evening and you've got a raw, late fall evening.

....along with a chance of storms. We're in the 'slight' category for severe weather. Southern sections of Middle Tennessee has a better chance of strong storms.

*Latest Local Forecast*

A small line of showers is moving through Middle TN this morning. According to the NWS, they should produce only about a tenth (.10) of an inch of rainfall. Later today, under daytime heating, clouds will build and possibility exists for developing showers and thunderstorms.

Temperatures plummeted overnight to the lower and mid 30's across TN. Frost is being reported across much of our state. Paris (in West TN) is reporting 29° at 6 am. Our NWS station her in Cookeville had 31° at 6 am. We got down to 34° here at my home.

Looks like we'll see some widespread frost again overnight.

**Special Weather Statement**

Woke up to a BEAUTIFUL morning! Temperatures are in the lower to middle 50's across Middle Tennessee under bright sunshine-filled skies. The expectation, however, is for the clouds to move back in later this afternoon.

The overnight threat of severe weather never materialized...which is a GOOD thing! Our main concern today is a developing line of storms just ahead of the cold front. The front stretches from St. Louis to Houston and storms will begin to develop. They will move eastward throughout the day.

We'll have a beautiful, sunny Wednesday here on the Plateau. Temperatures will top out around 58° after our morning start in the middle and upper 30's. Don't get to used to sunshine as rain returns through at least Friday night.

....here in Middle Tennessee. We are seeing (as of 6:45 am) some stronger cells in southern portions of our area. A Wind Advisory is in effect until noon today as winds will gust to 45 mph and could be even stronger in the heavier storms.

5,000 Twitter tweets and counting. That’s right folks I’ve just passed 5,000 updates on Twitter. It scares me and yet I feel strangely proud. Perhaps I need to get out more, of course I can post to Twitter from my cell phone, so I guess there’s no escaping it.
