The conservative blogosphere is none too pleased with a negative profile piece of think tanker Drew Johnson in the Nashville Scene:

When I think of the terms "kiss ass," "suck-up," or "brown noser," one name comes to mind: Sallie Holmes.

She was the girl with the platinum blond pageboy and the sickly sweet smile who sat in the front row of all my junior high classes. Sallie Holmes was an insatiable Teacher's Pet. A hand raiser. A blackboard washer. A maker of A-pluses. She also was the bane of my existence.

So, if you were following me on twitter yesterday you heard the exciting news about Jett losing his first tooth. I caught a little video of it for your viewing pleasure.

I like these freshmen better than the ones from last year. Not that I didn't like the other ones--I cared about them very much--but these kids are just different. Oh, some of them have already smarted off or talked too much in class or fallen asleep or refused to do work.

We had the first of three dentist/orthodontist/endodontist appointments for the kids today.  The news on Zaphod took me aback a bit.

Well, not really. But damn. This afternoon I took a half day off work and headed over to my dentist, the same one who I got my Invisalign through, for a little something I like to call HAVING MY GUMS LASERED OFF.

Allow! I'm guest posting today for Fussy and I don't know how to photoshop my head onto anything. I don't know how I got here inside this pretty blog. I'm going to use lots of pictures, and some that will make Fussy want to gouge her eyeballs out. But it won't be frumpy!
