If we overlook for a second the fact that every time Bill Hobbs puts fingers to keyboard he’s making the state of Tennessee look like a scary backwater unfriendly to all outsiders and the TNGOP look like a bunch of bullies, it’s hard not to enjoy his antics just a little bit.

I've been online now for some 13 years. I started with AOL and quickly learned that they'd rather promote spam than provide me with real email filters. I switched to BellSouth and had been a happy customer for most of those 13 years...until now.

Vivian Wilhoite(Metro Council Member District 29) and "Ozzie", the Sounds Mascot journeyed to Lakeview Elementary Design Center and Una Elementary School to read their favorite Dr.Seuss books to some lucky students today.

The children were so happy to see both of them walk in the door of their classrooms. I have never seen such happy faces in all my life. All for a good cause to strengthen the importance of reading.

Welcome!

Hi everyone! As you will notice soon, The Crone Speaks has a new contributer, Ravenavital.

I’ve know this woman for years, all the way back to the old AOL (now defunct?) Homeschool forum. There’s a lot that I could say about Ravenavital, and all of it good. She’s a good friend, and I hope that you will welcome her warmly.

I actually did use AOL, for a brief interval. I remember crossing email swords with Steve Case, around that time, about the difficulty AOL presented to finding the World Wide Web. They kept it hidden away, preferring users to play in their own sandbox (my term, in my email to Case, that prompted an angry response).
