Adam Groves shares the news of Rep. Brian Kelsey lone vote against lowering the eligible GPA for students seeking lottery scholarships:

I am sure everyone has heard about the upcoming reunion that is sure to rock the music world to its core. New Kids on the Block are back! Oh, man! I feel like a 13-year-old girl again … I can feel the love for Joey Joe returning as we speak.

So long as something like this doesn't degenerate into "gladiator schools" for the residents, there may be some validity to using boarding schools in this manner. The key of course will be effective leadership and attention to the needs of the kids.

On one hand, I am happy to see my tween son has a fashion sense. Me, I let my mother dress me until my freshman year - in college.

For the kid, wearing the brand names make him feel popular, which no doubt contributes to his self-confidence. I see it working and think that it’s great.

Since I haven’t written any real blog posts in a week, it’ll take me a little bit to get back into the groove of things. With that said, I figure I could ramble about a few political thoughts. Don’t worry nothing inflammatory or profound here. Just random.

I have one encompassing New Year’s Resolution I think is worth sharing, as it will affect this blog. No, I’m not leaving the blog, I hope to write a post a day as I have for about a year now. What I do plan on doing is writing more from my heart and mind, rather than writing for the sole purpose of ‘blog worthy’ material. Don’t get me wrong, I do intend for what I write to be interesting to you, but I want to steer away from my focus on the popularity of my blog.
