I am unusually awake for a Friday morning, listening to music and glancing around various places on the Internet. The playlist is as mellow as possible (John Mayer and Eric Clapton soulful guitar), with a bit more up tempo material (Cold Play, Matchbox 20) to get the heart pumping a bit faster.

Judge not lest ye be judged. We've heard this phrase a time or two, usually when we've got a bad case of "whiskey mouth," and there's something to be said for not taking our judgments too seriously.

Today’s not a big day because of the iPhone release. It comes out in 15 minutes, and I’m not the least bit excited. I’ll post on it later, but here’s something interesting:

I'm sure I've mentioned my gimpy leg lately. It's a groin pull and it sucks.

Lovin' is too painful, so I've seen limited action. I still can't run, so no 5Ks. (it's not like I'm any good, but I still like to participate). I can't skate, so no hockey, even though I've paid for the season.

Before last night, if I was going to make a list of my all time least favorite musicians, John Mayer definitely would have made the top five... probably third, after Kenny G and Barbra Streisand. Sure the guy's song are terrible, and despite being a massive tool, he seems to bag every hottie in Hollywood as if he were checking them off a list.

So I may have mentioned once or twice on this blog that a few of us went downtown last Saturday evening to watch the wonderfully talented local rock musician, Will Hoge, perform live. My camera is MIA since The School Girl knocked it off of a 3 foot high table in a bar but SueBoo was thoughtful enough to send along her camera.

I didn’t take too many shots as it was “asses & elbows” inside. I did manage

As a Tennessean, I am disturbed by the stunt being played out right now by the Georgia legislature, attempting to move the Tennessee state line a mile in order to “share” water from the Tennessee river.
