Manufacturers send out PC components clocked to certain standard speeds that make sure the components operate well for long periods of time with no errors - but usually they could go faster if a few tweaks are made, so some people (as i have done a few times) change a few settings and boost the performance of their system a bit. I thought it was really interesting what was said about moving to town and trying to get a job as a musician - so I emailed the writer and asked if I could place it here on site. This comes from Eric Normand who, as it turns out, is a pretty successful touring musician and studio owner. |
