On the heels of a massive bail-out, which is now law, Wall Street is still in shambles.

Stock were in for a bruising on Monday after a deepening financial crisis in Europe heightened worries about a global economic slowdown.

It looks like there’s a fight brewing in Congress over lifting the ban on off-shore drilling, just in time for election season. And I’ll be the first to admit that it puts congressional Democrats in a tough spot, having to choose to between what’s right and what’s politically expedient. (Three guesses which one I expect them to take.

The National Dialogue on Entrepreneurship reports on the findings of a long-term study to spur entrepreneurial growth in Appalachia.

1.  The Rotund makes this point about how people want to suck you in to their diet talk, in part, because dieting is all about performing “goodness.”  Brilliant.  I’m going to be mulling this over, especially in the context of women and our dieting.
