Rep. Jim Cooper recalls a curious encounter with our current president:

Most of the media pack seemed intent on wringing something quotable from the few people at the center of the campaign and were not as quick to acknowledge the myriad Tennessee politicos throughout the media center.

So last week while my blog was down, I had an interesting encounter. Ok, maybe not interesting to all, but definitely to those who loved the Backstreet Boys.

Have you seen the Jerry Seinfeld / Bill Gates commericals for Microsoft? I laughed when I saw the one below. I think it's cute!

The MAC vs. PC commericals are just hilariously brilliant (I admit I'm easily amused). Whatever ad agency was tapped to come up with a campaign to rival them, I do not envy. Tough act to follow.

The TWRA is advising campers to take extra precautions and be on the alert for wild black bears while playing in state parks. They advise people to wear noise producing devices such as little bells on their clothing to alert, but not to startle the bears unexpectedly. They also advise you to carry pepper spray in the case of an encounter with a bear.
