Being a hotel bellman, I read with great interest an article on elevators this week in The New Yorker. I timed my waits at elevators tonight. Grand total for my nine hour shift: 18 minutes.

So, I had to go to this meeting last night, but I couldn’t get to the elevators. The building was set up kind of like a “C” with offices all along the curve and a huge glass wall up the gap and to get to the elevators, you had to walk out to them on a little walkway, because they ran up the middle of the open part of the “c”, which was open up and down a number of floors.

Greetings from the land of Percocet and 600 mg Ibuprofen. The procedure was a breeze and a whirl. I’ve just had a bit of cramping 9 (nothing that a little Percocet can’t take care of) and I had no problems coming out of anesthesia or nothing else.
