When people use the term lifestyle business they usually are referring to something small and even part-time. Academics and policy folks will often say the term lifestyle business with a hint of indifference, boredom, or even condescension. Ah yes, one of the first things to go for folks as they try to tighten their belts is their "luxury" items, and if a $4 cup of Joe ain't a luxury item, I don't know what is.
