Well, summer's here and the time is right--but, in this part of the world that means seriously hot times. Despite the relative calm in the last several weeks, by the end of last week, Israelis were taking a long hard view eastward to Iran. Over there, work continues unfettered on a nuclear weapon that most Israelis believe will be completed and will be used on Tel Aviv.

The Jerusalem Post carries a story today on the emerging deal in Gaza hosted by Egypt between Hamas, the PA, and Israel. Apparently there is discussion of more international observers, this time posted in Gaza, to keep the peace.

I never thought I'd be calling for folks to heed the adage "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth," but here I am.

Yesterday, there was a horrendous attack in Israel on a Jewish seminary where eight students were killed (with most of them being teenagers).

A top Hamas delegation crossed into Egypt Thursday to meet up with Egyptian officials wanting to make clear that no further breaches of its border with the Gaza Strip will be tolerated, a security official said.
