I supported Jeanne Richardson for Tennessee House District 89; and I'm darned proud to post this video clip of her delivering the only remarks made on the floor in opposition to the "Let's teach the Christian Bible in public schools" bill that only three Representatives voted against. Larry Turner of Memphis is one of the three also, as is Mary Pruitt of Nashville.

By now it's been all over the blogosphere, but this is too hilarious to not post. Well, maybe hilarious isn't the word. Scary. Sad. And most definitely: Tragic.

The United States of America ranks 70th in the world in the number of women it has elected to office. . . between Cambodia and Zimbabwe. The U.S. is also one of only five countries in the world that does not offer paid maternity leave.

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama’s pastor of twenty years, says AIDs-HIV was engineered by the U. S government to wipe out “people of color”, that the drug problem in the Black community is a result of a government plot to victimize Blacks and to supply the prison industry with inmates, that the 9-11 attack on America was justified due to American racism in the world.

Well its' been pretty quiet around here with Bubba away vacationing (a well deserved one I'm sure) so I'm gonna attempt to entertain y'all.
